Indulging in my Indulgences
Well this week's scribbling has got me tic tacing my keyboard already and Sunday is not even in sight yet. I think it is my obsessive nature when it comes to prompts, especially the Sunday Scribbling. Did I just talk like an advertising agency?
Well that is top most then. My indulgence to sell it. What you wonder? Anything that has the capacity for it to sell. Including myself. See this may sound a little too whorish but the fact remains, every day in our lives each one of us is indulging in the marketing side of us. We position ourselves and then price it to a reasonable price and not every freaking individual impresses us and hence we just walk off that place. You wont agree would you?
I am a part of an agency where I have learned how to do it. I have an image too, like a brand and I think I obsess about it a lot. I am very particular about how I appear. No, I hardly wear makeup, it just hates my skin so that is reserved for the exquisite parties if any. Though I indulge in makeup from Mabelline to Mac, anything that can make me SIGH!
My indulgence is shopping, particularly in shoes and handbags, is a weakness which I cannot rid myself off. To keep balance in my account I actually have to go on fasting. It is called a Shopping Fast, where I prohibit myself to indulge in over expenditure. I need to learn how not to oogle at every darn piece of heel or flats on a shop shelf and also the hand bags… my hand is scratchy again. Grr!
I indulge in all the good movies. Someone has to name it once and I bring it and watch it, note down the moments and then keep gasping for air because it usually is so romantic that my pores start to blush. This is insane really, I wish I wasn’t that big on movies, after all they say it is an escape from reality, but it seems so true and hence I can't keep away. Someday that will be my reality.
I have a secret indulgence for body massages, manicures, pedicures, and hair care. I have longed to grow my hair but not been successful as yet, so it is just mid back length, and hence my over the top spending on hair care stuff drives my bank balance totally out of proportion. God bless Hubby Dearest!
Oh did I not mention him? He will be the top most indulgence of my life when he comes. Obviously the rest will then follow. I will have to market my self with an image as he desires everyday and always sell myself in a way that will keep him hooked on me only. I hate brand disloyalty and for that very reason, if he marries me, he is stuck with me. You can mourn his non availability already by the way. See if I care **wink.
My shopping and looking good and the rest will obviously then be in line because hubby won't accept a shabby me. He will want a fragrant wife with a classy yet beautiful attire on for him always, and so my dear husband, though you are already my indulgence, I will have to indulge in some money spending spree. It sure will pay off I promise. You will never come home to a messed up woman, she will always be groomed and you won't have to worry about hygiene at all.
The movie that I intend to watch will always be with hubby. Yes I know my girl friends will whine, especially this one who always has been my movie mate, but I can't promise a mushy movie with her after my hubby comes along, she can get to see the rest with me [and now I don’t know what the rest is]. I can so picture an indulgence of sweet massages coming from him. SIGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Ok cut cut. I am indulging in to much of fantasy and it is not healthy hehehe!
